Some brief notes on the “Woningnet” question in court cases

Many judges in civil courtcases like to test squatters by asking whether he/she is registered on WoningNet (woningnet.nl). That is the (electronic) waiting list for social housing owned by the housing corporations. It is clear that many judges interpret a “no” answer as confirmation of their prejudiced belief that our propaganda about the housing struggle is empty, and that we only want to live for free on the Prinsengracht etc. etc.                                                     Whether your personal answer to the WoningNet question is “yes” or “no”, it is useful to give a strong answer to this question.

To subscibe @ woningnet you should :                                             -be minimum 18 years old                                                              -have the Dutch nationality or a valid ‘verblijfstitel’
